Ariha: Town in central Syria, north to the city of Idleb, and an administrative center in the province of Idleb. Probably founded in the 3rd millennium BC, it contains monuments dating back to Roman, Memluk and Ottoman eras. The town is an important commercial center in the region. Population (1997) 29,939.
