Zabadani: Town located 45 km north of Damascus, 1175 meters above sea level. It overlooks the plain of Zabadani, which is a fertile land with thousands of fruit trees. The source of Barada River is there; it irrigates Damascus and the farms around (the Ghouta). Zabadani is a summer resort for the people of Damascus, and a main tourist attraction, with many hotels, restaurants and other facilities.
